Monstera Albo is one of the most sought-after houseplants, admired for its dramatic, marbled white and green variegation and striking fenestrated leaves. This particular plant is not tissue cultured—a key feature that many collectors prefer for its natural and stable variegation pattern.
The plant was propagated and planted on March 1st, meaning it's about 2 months into its new growth journey with fresh roots forming and acclimating to its pot. This young but established cutting has been carefully propagated for long-term health and beauty, and it's now ready to thrive in the right environment.
🌱 Care Tips:
-
Light:
Loves bright, indirect light to maintain its stunning variegation. Avoid direct sunlight, as the white areas are more sensitive and can scorch. -
Water:
Water when the top 2–3 cm (1 inch) of soil is dry. Ensure excellent drainage to avoid root rot. -
Humidity:
Prefers high humidity (60–80%) but can adapt to moderate household humidity. Mist occasionally or use a humidifier. -
Temperature:
Ideal range is 18°C to 28°C (65°F to 82°F). Keep away from cold drafts or sudden temperature drops. -
Soil:
Use a chunky, well-aerated mix—aroid blend with bark, perlite, and coco coir is ideal. -
Fertiliser:
Begin light feeding now that the plant is rooted (1–2 months after propagation). Use a balanced, diluted fertiliser every 4–6 weeks during spring and summer. -
Pet Friendly:
⚠️ No – Monstera Albo is toxic to cats and dogs if ingested. Best placed out of pets’ reach.
